延暦寺、戒壇院 - Enryakuji, Kaidan-in

Posted by
Stu (From Scotland | Working in Kyoto, Japan) on 10 January 2012 in Architecture and Portfolio.

This temple (Kaidan-in 戒壇院) is part of the Enryakuji temple complex and stands on one of the highest mountains in Kyoto, but I was surprised to find so much snow there.

Okinawa is a nice place to winter no snow. Snow makes nice pictures but I am no longer a fan of cold:)

@Daryl Johnson: Hi Daryl, not really. That's why I was so surprised at the amount of snow on Hieizan. I've heard you've had some rough weather back home though...?
