Ken from United States

Stu, a lot going on here. The tiny waterfall, the pond, the buildings and it all works together like a beautiful piece of sheet music.

@Ken: Thx for the comment Ken!

Sash from Adelaide, Australia

Pretty...Just another part of Japan that I miss so much... sigh... BTW, have you used ISO 325 yet? The reason that I ask is because it's just great to know that we can use ISO 325 should we so desire. ;)

13 May 2009 6:01am

@Sash: Thx Sashmo. Haven't used 325 yet, and probably won't (for reasons I'll explain next time we Skype) ;-)

John Leech from Grange-over-Sands, United Kingdom

A beautiful example of the formal garden, and beautifully captured.

13 May 2009 9:59am

@John Leech: Thx John. They really are incredible places.

dkc from Xanthi, Greece

Just a lovely sample of a traditional Japanese garden...Did you try it with a slower shutter speed? the water in that little waterfall might look smoothier...

13 May 2009 10:17am

@dkc: Thx dkc! If I'd had my tripod with me I might have tried that. This was at 100th/sec - enough for my unsteady hands with no image stabilization. Would have looked good, I'm sure.

hugo poon from hong kong, Hong Kong

Very beautiful presentation my friend! So many splendid colours and fine details, yet none is causing uncomfortable distraction and cluttering the clarity of the lovely sight ... wonderful shot!!

13 May 2009 2:29pm

@hugo poon: Thx Hugo. It was quite a challenge composing it actually.
