Bali 1 - Terraced Rice Paddy

Posted by
Stu (From Scotland | Working in Kyoto, Japan) on 5 December 2006 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

First of all let me thank everyone who has continued to post comments while I've been away. I'm just about to do the rounds to all of you now and see what I've missed this week!
This is one of the terraced rice paddies. Thought I'd make this the first post cause it's one of those images that people most associate with Indonesia.

Bloody amazing shot mate!!! This would be awesome with all the water before the rice grows!! Top shot mate. Looks like something out of 3D mario brothers. I love the greens almost feels like you could just land on it and it'd feel like a bed of pillows.

5 Dec 2006 3:34pm

@Colour blind: thanks mate, glad you like it. there was something timeless about the place. I wouldn't have been surprized if Colonel Kurtz had suddenly appeared from the jungle!

Thanks for the info re the tripod too.
Its good to be back.
