transport - past and present

The past evolves into the present... We actually have a few rickshaws in Victoria. I briefly considered trying it as a part time job, mainly to building leg strength for uphill racing, but abandoned the idea when I saw the size of some of the tourists that were being transported. The bicycle variety is much more popular, probably for that reason. They have some serious gears.

At any rate, on the photo itself... I love the contrasty b&w and the perspective that gives the sense of a view from the middle of the road.

Ah, but if she's running with a carbon fibre frame, Shimano hubs and Continental tyres .. ^_^
