Stu, I am breathless. Amazing tonal qualities in the wood, then the bright white of the paper and the different colors of sandals...and it is a portrait too!

Wonderfully subtle and understated.
Congrats on the new camera! I agree that a camera can't make the shot, but, as you say, it can sure make a hell of a difference. I'm really enjoying the results. Keep it up!

Wow...great timing...this photo should go to the spotlight...5 stars from me because you combine so many things in just one photo! A mysterious portrait, great details of the wood, a repetitive pattern on the background and still it is an original Japanese photo!
