This is another in what appears now to be an accomplished theme - midline perspective and dof of alleys and paths leading off into the darkness. I really like this one with the balance of light and dark right to the center.

@Sidonie: Thx Sidonie!

Very nicely done. Very nice atmosphere to the image. Speia tones would look great on this one as well, I guess..

Excellent, everything works here and reminds me of the French Photographer Brassai. Very nice work.

I like this one, too, and again you've handled contrast beautifully. But may I say that I liked yesterday's better? It's not a competition between the images, I realize, and others will no doubt disagree, but to me the way you set up the frame for yesterday's was more interesting and resulted in a more complete image. I think partly my disquiet with today's image is that the acqueduct "ends" in a rather unstable place in the frame and then we wonder why is the rest of the frame taken up with a comparatively uninteresting sidewalk and the trees. Yesterday's, on the contrary, was very well laid out and the composition had strength across all the dimensions. That one somehow seems more stable, more carefully planned, which is not to disparage this one. Sorry if I'm not making myself clear.

Another cracker image Stu!! I disagree with GJC.... always Miss Contrary ain't I? I see it as a path into the unknown. Love the depth of the blacks. Outstanding again me lad!!

I've just arrived back here after favouriting this one at VFXY!

It's a really great shot and I'm with Amy on preferring this one to the one from the day before as I feel it has a stronger and simpler composition with a better sense of mystery....great blacks too! (and you asking me for advice on deep blacks.....shame on you :-)
