Cool... was this taken yesterday? It was pretty nasty last night... That slightly smoky cloud around the lightning is freaky.

great shot of the thunder... been wanting to capture one... the last thunder shot i took was with a film and a nikon F3... let see... about 15 years ago.. hahaha

WOW STU!! Nicely done!! Many many many years ago with my old Chinon 35mm I did an experiment using the bulb mode and managed to get a shot of 5 strikes of lightning. It had a bit of reciprocity in the colours but it just so added to the overall effect. It's on my wall downstairs. Have no idea where the negative is.

Wow! That's great! A couple of months ago I watched a storm sweeping down Lake Biwa and thought how amazing it would be to capture the lightning on film, but it must be one of the hardest shots to get!
