Last One Standing

Posted by Stu (Scotland | Residing in Kyoto, Japan) on 29 May 2007 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Number 2 in the Scotland series. Also on Machrie Moor, the Isle of Arran, this solitary stone was about 30 metres away from the ones in yesterday's post. It used to be part of another stone circle however the other stones have been removed or lie buried.
Couldn't decide if it looked better in b&w so I've posted another version here for anyone who is interested.

Stunning! I must add that I can not decice neither which one I prefer (colour vs b&w) both have their charms. b&w emphasizes the mood of loneliness perhaps...

Oh! I love cloudy weather photos. This pictures brings me to the movie BRAVE HEART (Mel Gibson 1995). The last scene and a sword in soil...

Another beauty, Stuey. I think there's enough colour in the lower portion to make it worthy as a colour-only image (previous caller). ;)

Thats really nice! I kinda like the color one better though, I like the contrast between the gray sky, green grass and reddish orange stone.

Both photos are great, I also have problems to decide which one looks better, =)

The black and white is good, but you're such a dab hand at colour, I'll give the nod to this one. It's great - I have an image in mind of a giant fist being shaken at the sky.
