Zing from Hamilton, New ZealandVery nice photo, lovely background and colours. Great shot! 18 Apr 2007 5:23am Stephanie from Hesperia, United StatesI love the soft, romantic coloring. Great moment. 18 Apr 2007 5:48am Chris Sullivan from Melbourne, AustraliaStu, this one is simply fantastic. For me one of your best. This would look great printed to a large scale and hung on the wall. 18 Apr 2007 6:17am Aaron Schmidt from Auckland, New ZealandWould have been perfect without the plastic bottle she's holding. Wonderful shot nonetheless. 18 Apr 2007 8:56am Sash from Adelaide, AustraliaOustanding! You must have a gargantuan lens on that camera of yours as I'm almost certain you wouldn't have dared to take this photo whilst being in view of the subject. It captures a private moment without interfering in the outcome of the image, for which I am in awe of. As for the previous comment (above this one) with the "plastic bottle" reference, I feel it is my duty to state my opinion on that: an utterly useless part of the statement without an iota of constructive criticism to it. It's like saying to the crew of Eagle 1: 'That photo would have been superb had the Earth not been round.' Get your head out, Aaron! The photo is perfect because it captures the essence of a deeply private moment. 18 Apr 2007 11:41am Yukie from Kyoto, JapanSuperb shot, Stu! love this cpmposition, blurry Sakura background and really warm colours. 18 Apr 2007 11:47am Francis from Hong Kong, Hong KongLove all the complimentary brown tones in this great composition. Well done Stu ! 18 Apr 2007 1:46pm Nick Passantino from Bronx, United StatesStunning capture of a private moment. Its full of emotion.. really a great one 18 Apr 2007 3:30pm Kheoh Yee Wei from Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaA warm image, love the emotional pay-back from this one =) 18 Apr 2007 4:13pm Michael from Glasgow, United KingdomDefinitely one of your best for me too. A wonderful image of a private moment. Great composition and DOF. Great stuff. 18 Apr 2007 10:35pm Damon Schreiber from Toronto, CanadaThis is colossal! Her almost-perfect symmetry and yet off centre positioning is wonderful as is the 'PET' bottle - a ubiquitous feature of modern Japan. The shallow DOF with the flowers in the background, the stunning backlighting, the way her face is hidden by her pose... Pow, pow, pow!!! It's almost too beautiful. Definitely worthy of National Geographic or some such. 22 Apr 2007 11:59pm @Damon Schreiber: Wow. Thanks so much for those kind words Damon! Much appreciated mate. BTW - I'm ready to roll with the water theme. 3 images already uploaded and awaiting suitable titles. Calcifer from Czech RepublicVery quiet and confidential moment you captured with a great eye. 23 Apr 2007 9:21am |
