Lovely focus and composition, Stu. I'm quite fond of the way the sunlight gives her hair a warm glow.

@Sash: This is probably my favourite temple in Kyoto. They filmed the short wedding scene in Lost in Translation here, right in front of the lady. It's not a very exciting place but there's something about it I love. It's in a great location too, right next to the philosopher's path and a host of other great temples and shrines. I'm sure you visited this place. Afew more to come from here over the next week or so.

Yvon from Meerkerk, Netherlands

Love the composition, the selective focus is great!

@Yvon: Thanks so much Yvon! Yeah, as I said to Sash, I really love this place. I keep coming back for more.

Daroru from Amagasaki, Japan

Stu, a great effect with the lady in focus - I thought for a moment her handbag was hanging down outside the photo! Great illusion!

hi Stuart! hope you are well. I've joined Am3 recently.
anyway, nice composition and focus. I visited this temple last week for the first time, actually. it's quite nice place.
I enjoy how you capture Japan.

You took me there the first time I visited Kyoto. I went there on two other occasions, both with Tulani. I love it as well and think it is one of the better 'sacred' places to seek solitude.
