Demure

Posted by Stu (Kyoto, Japan) on 21 February 2007 in People & Portraits and Portfolio.

These (probably not real) Geishas were outside Ginkakuji (The Silver Temple), posing for pictures. The clearly visible wig is one of the signs that they're not genuine, but they're quite a sight none-the-less. The one on the left looked quite demure I thought, hence the title, and the early evening sun cast a beautiful warm light. I felt like such a tourist photographing them, a strange feeling after 4 years here.
Hope you like it and thanks for visiting.
