Sidonie from Sydney, Australia

What a clean shot! You speak Pidgin/pigeon Japanese?

@Sidonie: Thanks Sidonie! That's all I can speak!

Bronnie from Christchurch, New Zealand

I love these birds, they appear everywhere!! Gorgeous greys in it. Do pigeons speak the same language everywhere in the world?

Craiger from Vacaville, California, United States

Fantastic shot! I wish the pigeons that roost under the eves of my house would get out and do a little modeling work for me. But all they do is eat, sleep, and %&*#.

@Craiger: Hehe! Thanks Craiger!

Gentse Koppen from Gent, Belgium

Stu mate.
Sorry I haven't been leaving a bread trail on your blog lately mate. Some really nice work that deserved some comments from me.
I though this shot was pretty average when I fisrt looked at it but came back and had another look then another and to tell you the truth mate now I think it's great. One of my favourites. It's strange how some images a slow to grab you at first but pull you right in and this is one of them. I would change the title to Yokozuna Pigeon though.
Cheers mate.

@Darren: Nae worries re the bread trail mate. Not done too much myself recently. Thanks for the comment. Wish I'd thought of that title! It does look like a sumo!

Alfredo J. Martiz J. from Tokyo, Japan

The texture of the feathers is really superb.

Still from Valence, France

Fine image. The pidgeon on the right seems to be dancing!

Chris Sullivan from Melbourne, Australia

For a subject that's photographed so frequently you've captured what's really a unique moment. The pigeon on the left looks totally non-plussed about the guy on the rights skating prowess; what's up with that?? The post-processing is excellent, subtle and not overpowering; letting the image do the talking. Nice one Stu!

Angry Buddha from United States

Great pose for the one on the right.

Yvon from Meerkerk, Netherlands

Funny title. Made me laugh. Great capture.

Evelyn from New Milford, United States

I agree with Darren! It totally loks like Pigeon Sumo, although the one pigeon is kind of sitting on its laurels. And nice job capturing that quick leg lift.

Damon Schreiber from Toronto, Canada

Brings to mind ballerinas warming up. Nice capture!

Just having a boo at what I've missed... didn't realize I'd missed so much.. crap... Anyways, the title with this is downright gutbusting hilarious!! Excellent capture, Stu! Figuratively and literally..
