Sidonie from Sydney, Australia1930s Oriental art deco? Very smooth and still and mysterious. 10 Feb 2007 10:28am Francis from Hong KongBeautiful shot Stu. Love the lighting and the effect of depth it gives the photo. 10 Feb 2007 11:02am Colour blind from Tokyo, JapanIs this in an izakaya? It looks like one. I'm not sure if you were lying down and taking this photo but I love it anyway. The darkness is compelling. 10 Feb 2007 11:04am @Colour blind: Hi Kelly, yeah this was taken on the famous 'Pontocho' here in Kyoto. Many Izakayas line the narrow lane, and some are accessed by these tiny corridors that are artfully lit and decorated, usually in a very minimalistic way. Alfredo J. Martiz J. from Tokyo, JapanReally beautiful shot, I love the lighting and framing of this one! 10 Feb 2007 2:19pm Still from Valence, FranceBeautiful composition. Your work on black nad dark grey is superb. 10 Feb 2007 8:17pm Chris Sullivan from Melbourne, AustraliaExcellent, very subtle and deft touch with the processing on this one. The way you've captured the light illuminating the flowers and covering parts of the hallway is amazing. Excellent again!! 10 Feb 2007 9:50pm bronzebilly from cardiff, United Kingdomgreat perspective--light fantastico--billy 10 Feb 2007 11:31pm Evelyn from New Milford, United StatesLove the geometry, the play of light and shadow.
