Damon Schreiber from Toronto, Canada

The mysteries of mirrors! Great capture of concentration, and a series of objects (dolls?) that are just nearly almost recognisable, but not quite. Quite an intriguing image!

Darren from Japan

Excellent shot there Stu. Sorry for being slack lately but you know how life in Japan is if you're not busy you are usually busy doing something else. I really liked your Go on shot mate. Nice one

@Darren: No worries Daz. Know exactly what you mean. Not been commenting at all myself recently.

Bronnie from Christchurch, New Zealand

A woman after my own heart - shopping in Japan is just so awesome. It does take concentration to do the shopping justice, and you've caught it really well. What is she buying?

5 Feb 2007 8:24am

@Bronnie: Hi Bronnie. I think Damon is right - they are little dolls.

jc from Ireland

Chris Sullivan from Melbourne, Australia

A fantastic photo Stu, very reflective in nature. Was there much PP in this? The colours are very subtle at suite the subject perfectly, well done!

5 Feb 2007 9:17pm

@Chris Sullivan: Thanks Chris. Not much PP at all here. I was outside the shop looking in and the light had a very warm tone to it.

Angry Buddha from United States

Great catch.

Alfredo J. Martiz J. from Tokyo, Japan

Lovely take Stu, I can feel the woman lost in her thoughts, thinking if she really needs what she is looking in that place, wonderful portrait!

Zach Siebert from Bologna, Italy

Love the muted colours here and the fact that your subject seems oblivious to the foreigner's prying eyes through a polished lens. If artistic perversion didn't have such stigma attached to it, you'd be a forerunner to the New Age.*

* Not quite sure what that means but it's supposed to be complimentary.
