Sea of TranquilityPosted by Stu (Scotland | Residing in Kyoto, Japan) on 2 January 2007 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio. Saw this on the way home 2 days ago. Luckily, I was able to catch the last rays of the Sun reflecting on the roof of the building. Oh...and I don't know if the Sea of Tranquility is visible on the moon or not, I just thought it was a good title! ;-) Hope you like it! High quality prints available upon request. @AJK: ありがとう ajk! @Still: Merci beaucoup, Still! Thanks for the comment. Makoto T from Sapporo, JapanVERY VERY NICE, Stu-san!! I like this. Enjoying Japanese holiday? 2 Jan 2007 7:19am @Makoto T: ありがとうございます まことーさん! Sidonie from Sydney, AustraliaThis is a blue to die for! It's Van Gogh's starry starry night. It's the night sky in old Japanese prints. Just exquisite. Congratulations. 2 Jan 2007 8:45am @Sidonie: Thanks, Sidonie! @Chris Sullivan: Thanks, Chris. Hope you're enjoying your holidays mate. @Shuva Brata Deb: Thanks for dropping-in Shuva! @Kate: Thanks, Kate. Welcome to Am3! Damon Schreiber from Toronto, CanadaWonderful composition and colours, though I must admit, the haloes look rather artificial to me. I'd prefer a more subtle treatment. 2 Jan 2007 2:05pm Michael from Glasgow, United Kingdomoh for a clear blue sky...Nicely framed and the dodging around the building ahs brought our some lovely detail. Nice one. 2 Jan 2007 8:06pm Kelvin Chan from New York City, United StatesA nice job with the composition and framing. but your shutter speed captured the moon, but not the object in front. And as a result of you bumping up the exposure on that building you created the halo. Next time you can create a mask first and then erase the edges so the halos won't appear. 3 Jan 2007 4:35am @Kelvin Chan: Thanks for the tip Kelvin. definitely need a PS tutorial! :-) Michael Zhang from New York City, United StatesGreat composition by balancing the temple and moon in the frame. Overall awesome shot! 3 Jan 2007 5:00am |
