I was going to say that the colors were so rich in the color shot that it couldn't be matched in B&W but the composition is so strong that it certainly can. Great shot. I love the sky as well.

The b/w is outstanding for this image.. the colour has such rich tones but with the stone alone, I think the b/w gives it more of that feel.
